Ollie Coaching
The Ollie Model is a brief solution focused approach used to empower those of all ages (5+) to take control of their emotions. The Ollie model was created (by Alison Knowles – Ollie and his Superpowers) to simplify controlling emotions for children in a powerful and useful way.
So, who is Ollie and how can he help?
Ollie is a boy who was being bullied at school and with the help Mr Wilcox from the old peoples home where his mum works, he is taken on a magical journey to learn about his emotions and how to manage them (the Ollie books can be found here).
Ollie Coaches help children understand about their emotions in a simple but really enjoyable way, helping them to understand that if they feel a little sad, afraid or just not happy, they can make that feeling smaller. Or replace it with another feeling like safe, happy or calm. For young children we liken their emotions to superpowers. We show them how to make their 'super powers' bigger. And the bigger they get, the bigger the feeling! We show them how, using techniques they can use to help with any problem they come up against both in childhood and through to adulthood.
This is not just for children; we also work with adults who may feel stuck with how they feel or an issue they are struggling with. After all, we all struggle at times and can need some support to work through things. We call ourselves coaches because we empower you to help yourself.

The main ethos of the Ollie Model:
- We are all unique
- We do not need ‘fixing’ – the problem is just a part of us that needs attention to move forward.
- We have everything we need inside – we just don’t always see it or know it yet
- All behaviour serves a purpose
- Change is not always easy but it is always possible. We are more capable than we think.
I myself have received several years of talking therapy for childhood trauma so know how important it is to trust the therapist/coach. I know how powerful it is when you have that trusting relationship working as a team to get you where you want to be. My job is to support you to help yourself, to find the resources that you already have inside, to utilise your potential but not giving you the answer because only you know what that is.
What I can help with
Issues with stress, confidence, anxiety, fears and phobias, low self-esteem or anything that you feel is holding you back from feeling how you want to feel or doing what you want to do. There are times I may redirect you to another professional if I feel you need it but this will be based upon your individual needs and circumstances.
This model of working is different to traditional talking therapy because we work towards your goal/the change you want to see from the beginning and empower you with practical tools to help yourself so you don’t need me.
The numbers of sessions needed are dependent upon each individual person so I don’t recommend a set number of sessions. This is brief solution focused so the main aim is to get you to where you want to be. Some people may need 4, some people 8 – the main thing is I help you to reach your potential at your own speed.
This is not a job to me; it is a passion and privilege. It’s important that I’m the right person for you so get in touch for an initial chat so you can see if I am. I would be honoured to help you to get you where you want to be.

"My son’s experience of meeting with Stacie has been a really positive one. He had been really struggling to control his temper and meeting with her has given him the tools to learn about understanding and controlling how he is feeling. I feel like this will benefit him immensely going forward. Stacie was caring and supportive and my son really felt like he could be himself when talking to her. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending her" ~ Shelley, December 2020 ~
